What Is Nonfiction?

Nonfiction presents real people, events, and ideas. Stage 6 forms include the essay, speech, biography, autobiography, memoir, and journalism. Students analyse how writers use rhetoric, evidence, and structure to inform, persuade, and reveal truth — and how credibility is constructed and, sometimes, abused.
